Job Summary
Charge Registered Nurse II in the Observation Unit provides leadership at the bedside and beyond, coaching and mentoring department staff, coordinating unit and hospital-wide education, guiding safe patient care, and serving as a clinical resource to improve practice and patient outcomes. Key duties include leading unit governance activities, participating in education and professional practice initiatives, and applying strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills to support interprofessional teams and patient care delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of education program approved by credentialing body for required credential(s)
- Twenty four months of clinical nursing experience with demonstration of progressive leadership skills
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure (PSV Compact Licensure – must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
