Job Summary
Assess and reassess patient needs, analyze findings to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, and implement evidence-based interventions guided by current policy. Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking to recognize problems and reach sound conclusions. Serve as the department leader alongside and in the absence of the Nurse Manager, while maintaining ACLS certification. Oversee and promote bedside handoffs at shift changes. Work nights with evening, weekend, and night differentials, earning $31.31-$51.14/hr. Join our 32-bed Surgical Unit in Norman, OK, where nurses collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver safe, compassionate care through the full nursing process.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN)
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training
- One year experience as a Registered Nurse
- Maintain ACLS
- Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
