Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities by making patient assignments, rounding with physicians, and managing bed flow and availability. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, conduct daily discharge reviews, and adjust staffing during surges or shortages. Provide oversight for the nursing process, perform patient rounds to evaluate care quality, and mentor team members as a preceptor. Ensure equipment inventory is maintained and protocols are developed to improve patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
