Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities on night shifts, including making patient assignments, rounding with physicians, managing bed flow, and coordinating emergency services. Lead interdisciplinary rounds to evaluate care quality, perform daily discharge reviews, and assign surgery beds. Monitor equipment inventory, request resources for staffing surges, and develop protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Act as a preceptor for new grads and mentors, while communicating performance concerns to nurse managers. Ensure compliance with the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and WellStar core competencies.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Knowledge of Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Knowledge of American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards
