Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities on night shifts, including making patient assignments, rounding with physicians, managing bed flow, and handling emergency services assignments. Lead interdisciplinary rounds to evaluate patient care quality, coordinate discharge reviews, and ensure compliance with nursing standards and protocols. Monitor equipment inventory, request staffing resources during surges, and mentor team members through precepting and peer coaching. Maintain survey readiness and support performance improvement initiatives within the Wellstar Shared Governance Model.
Required Qualifications
- RN licensure
- Knowledge of the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Implementation of the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association
