Job Summary
Direct and oversee daily unit activities to ensure safe patient care delivery, including making patient assignments, rounding with physicians, and managing bed flow in conjunction with surgery schedules. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication, conduct daily discharge reviews, and handle emergency service assignments while monitoring equipment inventory and staffing surges. Lead staff scheduling, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and serve as a preceptor for new nurses to support team development. Maintain compliance with nursing practice standards and engage in shared governance activities to promote quality outcomes.
