Job Summary
Supervise and direct nursing staff on assigned shifts, ensuring proper delivery of resident care and accurate documentation. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitor resident conditions, and promptly report changes to physicians. Delegate shift tasks, provide guidance to nursing assistants, and ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards. Respond to emergencies following established protocols and maintain open communication with families and interdisciplinary team members. Day shift coverage from 6 AM to 6 PM with a 4k sign-on bonus. Requires current RN or LPN license and 1–2 years of long-term care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR certification
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Moderate level of computer literacy
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move frequently throughout the shift
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to assist in transferring, repositioning, and providing care to residents
- Sufficient stamina and mobility to respond quickly to resident needs and emergencies
- Visual and auditory acuity required for monitoring residents and operating
- Must be able to effectively communicate and interact professionally with staff and residents
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing facility or Long Term Care environment
- Minimum of 1–2 years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting
- Supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of nursing practices, long-term care regulations, and geriatric care principles
- Proficiency in medication administration, treatment protocols, and clinical documentation
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate staff in a team-oriented environment
