Job Summary
Charge Nurse (RN) in Acute Care leading a unit during the night shift (7pm-7am) at Wellstar. Directs daily unit activities, assigns patient care, manages staff schedules, coordinates patient flow, participates in physician rounding, and supports unit leadership and governance models. Requires an RN license in Georgia with an Associate Degree/Diploma; BSN preferred; BLS on hire; 1 year of nursing experience (2 years preferred); strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved nursing program with an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- Current/active RN license in the State of Georgia
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) certification on first day of employment
- One year of nursing experience required; two years preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to lead and work collaboratively in a team-based environment
