Job Summary
Charge Nurse (RN) on the Night shift at Wellstar in Mableton, GA. Directs and oversees daily unit activities during assigned shift to ensure safe delivery of care; provides leadership, may take modified patient-care assignments, participates in staff scheduling, unit patient flow, and clinical concerns; mentors team members, fosters collaboration between nurses and physicians, and supports evidence-based nursing practice and the WellStar Nursing Practice Model to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing as an Associate Degree/Diploma Nurse
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current/active license as a registered nurse in the State of Georgia
- Must have a current BLS card from the American Heart Association on the first day of employment in position
- National certification in area of specialty preferred (dependent on service area may require ACLS, PALS)
- One year of nursing experience required, two years preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care and holds basic computer skills
- Works well with others in a collaborative, team-focused, patient-centered way
- Analytical skills to solve technical, clinical and managerial challenges
- Sufficient clinical and leadership experience to lead others
