Job Summary
Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to promote short and long-term outcomes. Collaborate with the care team to coordinate daily patient flow, deliver safe care according to policies, and maintain accurate documentation of assessments and incidents. Listen to patient concerns, serve as an educational resource for families, and prioritize actions based on patient needs to maintain satisfaction. Participate in performance improvement initiatives, support shared governance councils, and mentor other nurses through preceptorship. Maintain professional licenses, complete required training, and stay current with research literature and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Bachelors Nursing or Masters Nursing
- BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor or BLS - Basic Life Support
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- Maintains professional licenses and certifications
- Completes all required training
- Is involved in professional organizations
- Keeps current with research literature and industry best practices
- Seeks opportunities for professional growth and leadership development
- Fosters the growth and development of other nurses through mentorship and preceptorship
- Adheres to all confidentiality, safety, and professional standards
- Acts with professionalism embrace shared governance principles and demonstrate integrity
- Holds self and others accountable for practice by participating in the peer feedback process
- Positively promotes the nursing profession and assists with the recruitment of nurses to AU Health
- Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
- Must be available for Night shifts
- Full Time Nights, 36 Hours per week (3/12s)
