Job Summary
Charge Nurse leads the Progressive Cardiac Care Unit (PCCU) during night shifts, supervising nursing care, performing assessments and reassessments, developing nursing diagnoses and outcomes, coordinating and implementing care with professional judgment, and ensuring effective handoffs at shift changes. This role serves in a department leadership capacity alongside the Nurse Manager, maintains ACLS, and supports ongoing professional practice within a high-acuity cardiac population seeking procedures such as CABG, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/Micra insertions, and ablations. Requires Oklahoma RN licensure and BLS/ACLS; diploma/ADN required with BSN/MSN preferred; one year RN experience preferred.
