Job Summary
Coordinate patient care delivery and unit activities by interpreting physician orders, delegating tasks, and managing rapid patient transfers. Act as a clinical resource and role model by mentoring staff, coaching daily performance, and facilitating quality improvement initiatives. Provide orientation for float, agency, and reassigned nurses while collaborating with physicians and department committees to ensure safe, evidence-based practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Nursing
- New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- Certification within speciality area within two years of assuming position
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Registered Nurse
- Knowledge, judgement, and skills derived from the principals of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex healthcare needs at various stages of the life cycle
- 2-3 years Clinical Nursing
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
- Must be able to lift <50 lbs
- Must be able to lift <10 lbs
- Must be able to bend frequently
- Must be able to climb rarely
- Must be able to concentrate consistently
