Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure quality at the point of care through a multidisciplinary team approach. Maintain NRP certification within six months of hire and hold current BLS or CPR certification. This onsite night shift position supports women's care and infants units at UCHealth UCHlth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program within three years of assuming the Charge RN position
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 1 year of nursing experience
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
