Job Summary
Manage operational aspects of the NICU, including scheduling, daily assignments, staff communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Lead the team by enforcing compliance with patient care standards, resolving conflicts, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills. Optimize staffing and scheduling practices to support patient throughput while remaining clinically competent for direct patient care. Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and create welcoming environments for new team members. Ensure all employees complete mandatory training and adhere to organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelors of Science: Nursing (BSN)
- 2 years Current experience in related clinical field in acute care facility
- Supervisor experience
- Experience with infants
- Awareness and sensitivity to rights of patient/significant other, as identified within the institution
- Awareness and application of safety issues as identified within the institution
- Awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and departmental functioning
- Competency in selected psychomotor skills
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, non-verbal and written methods
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to medication administration and equipment calibration
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
- Registered Nurse - KSBN
- Multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
