Job Summary
Coordinate delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle on the Neuro PCU during night shifts. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands, and communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as a resource for guidance and assistance to the staff. Responsibilities include supervising nursing care delivery, ensuring compliance with unit protocols, and supporting staff development across the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program (Required)
- Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
- 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting (Required)
- 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
- RN - Registered Nurse license (Georgia) Required
- BCLS Required
- ACLS Required
- PALS Required
- NRP by orientation period Required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months Required
- PEARS Certification Required
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients Required
- ACLS and PALS Certification Required
- Experience with Emergency Department nursing preferred (30 days to obtain PALS)
