Job Summary
Coordinate delivery of quality nursing care for patients on the 12-bed Pulmonary unit from birth through the lifecycle, including operational issues during the 7pm-7am night shift. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for acute and chronic respiratory issues while providing clinical support when census demands arise. Maintain standards of practice and coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff. Serve as a resource for guidance and assistance to the team, communicating patient care and departmental issues to appropriate leaders. Work closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to ensure professional growth and accountability within the organization's policies.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a nursing program
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting
- Bachelor's degree
- Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
- Demonstrated clinical competency
