Job Summary
As a Charge Nurse at Sheridan Medical Lodge, you will provide direct nursing care to residents under supervision, administer medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, assist with daily living activities, document nursing assessments, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members. The role requires a compassionate individual committed to patient care, with at least one year of clinical care experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and current Texas State licensing.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas State license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Current State Driver's License.
- A minimum of 1 year of clinical care experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is required.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English due to Federal and State requirements for documentation.
- Proficient in interpersonal skills with the ability to establish strong rapport with medical staff, residents, and their families.
- Skillful in communication, organizational, documentation, and time management.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the principles and techniques of professional nursing.
- Familiarity in State and Federal medical regulations.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge base of Medicare and Medicaid is preferred but not required.
