Job Summary
Charge Nurse - LPN supervises the day-to-day nursing activities of CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care. Responsibilities include directing nursing assignments, coordinating services, administering medications and treatments per physician orders, representing the nursing department in care planning, participating in committee meetings, and ensuring compliance with nursing standards and regulations. The role also involves quality and risk management, supervising CNAs, conducting interviews/orientation, and maintaining adequate staffing to meet resident needs. Requires an Ohio LPN license, with preferred experience in hospital or long-term care, EMR proficiency, and supervisory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Education Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
- Experience One year of clinical experience in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related health care facility preferred.
- Supervisory experience in a long-term care, hospital, or other related healthcare setting preferred.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Other Requirements Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
