Job Summary
Charge Nurse - LPN in a 43-bed long-term care skilled nursing community. Responsibilities include conducting ongoing resident assessments, leading direct nursing care (wound treatment, IV therapy as permitted, catheter care), administering medications with safe and accurate documentation, coordinating resident care as unit clinical leader, supervising CNAs and other staff, ensuring compliance with regulations and facility policies, and providing education and emotional support to residents and families. Requires valid LPN license in Iowa, CPR, and ability to obtain supervisory course within 90 days; emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration with interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in good standing (state of Iowa)
- Current CPR certification
- State-approved LPN Supervisory Course completion or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations and laws
- Commitment to empathy, respect, discretion in care
