Job Summary
Charge Nurse leads direct patient care in Labor and Delivery, applying the nursing process and providing top-of-scope care. Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, mentors and precepts staff new to UCHealth, and supports a fast-paced, evidence-based clinical environment. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care during nights, ensuring safety and quality at the point of care, and modeling proficiency while adhering to practice standards (RNC-OB, C-EFM, NRP, CCRN). Requires a BSN, RN license, BLS/ACLS/NRP certifications, and at least 1 year of nursing experience. The role emphasizes wellness, professional development, and participation in educational programs and performance initiatives; on-site only with no remote option.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing within three years of assuming the Charge RN position
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS Healthcare Provider
- 1 year of nursing experience
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS - card good through sixty days of hire
