Charge Nurse - ICU/PCU

Job Summary
Coordinate patient care delivery and delegate tasks to staff while managing admission and transfer workflows for the MSICU/PCU. Act as a clinical resource for unit personnel by interpreting physician orders, performing technical skills, and facilitating patient movement through the system. Develop and coach nursing staff daily, mentor team members on problem resolution, and guide the implementation of best practices and quality improvements. Provide orientation for float and agency nurses, maintain open communications with the healthcare team, and accept accountability for unit activities. Work nights in a high-acuity environment supporting trauma and stroke programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree - Nursing Nursing
- New Hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire
- 1 - 2 years Clinical in Nursing experience
- Registered Nurse
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS)
- ECG Interpretation competency
- ACLS Certification within 12 months of assuming role
- Maintains ECG competency and ACLS certification while in role
- Lifting 50+ Lbs.
