Charge Nurse - General Surgery OR

Direct real-time flow of surgical cases from Pre-Op through Intra-Op and PACU to prevent bottlenecks and optimize room utilization. Triage, prioritize, and slot urgent or emergent trauma/add-on surgeries into the active schedule with minimal disruption to elective cases. Assign surgical teams by matching daily staffing rosters to specific rooms and cases based on volume, acuity, and staff competencies. Step into rooms to provide relief, problem-solve mechanical equipment failures, or assist with unexpected changes in patient clinical status. Work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with call required at Novant Health Coastal Carolina Medical Center, serving Jasper County, SC, in a facility offering robotics, hernia repairs, and total joint replacements.
