Job Summary
Lead ER unit as Charge Nurse-ER with responsibility for supervising assigned staff, ensuring regulatory readiness, and driving performance-improvement initiatives. Oversees nursing care, equipment, and services to meet patient needs, evaluates patient progress toward care goals, and ensures adherence to nursing standards and ethical guidelines. Manages clinical activities within the unit, enforces policies, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to maintain quality and safety during night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
- Recent, appropriate nursing practice within the past two years
- Minimum one year of directly related Charge Nurse experience in area of specialty or an appropriate equivalent required, two years preferred
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the American Heart Association required
