Job Summary
Charge Nurse — Critical Care PCU, nights. Coordinates delivery of quality nursing care for patients in the Critical Care PCU during night shift; provides clinical care as needed when census demands and serves as a resource and liaison to staff and leadership. Requires RN licensure in Georgia with multiple certifications (BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, PEARS) and hospital nursing experience (1 year required; 2+ preferred). Bachelor's degree preferred. Signs on bio included.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery)
- PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification prior to independent chemotherapy administration (Infusion/Oncology)
- NRP by the end of orientation period (Womens Services: Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby, NICU, NAT, Nursery)
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months of start date (Labor and Delivery) within 1 Year
- PEARS Certification ( at Piedmont Athens Hospital)
- PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
- ACLS and PALS Certification (Emergency Department)
- ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients (Surgical Services)
