Job Summary
Manage staffing assignments for oncoming and off-going shifts based on patient acuity and skill set to ensure patient care needs are met. Coordinate patient flow by working directly with Administrative Supervisors, Care Coordinators, and Discharge Planners to achieve expected outcomes. Monitor overall patient status, including seriously ill patients, and perform direct patient care activities as required. Serve as a resource supporting front-line team members while participating in safety huddles and investigating patient or family complaints. Maintain a regulatory-ready environment of care, ensure appropriate equipment allocation, and support leader-driven initiatives. Work full-time nights shift in the Coronary Care Unit at Baptist Health Brookwood, serving the Homewood community with advanced cardiac care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Alabama or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN) preferred
