Charge Nurse

Coordinate and oversee nursing care and related activities of the surgical center per center policies. Prepare schedules, ensure completion of delegated tasks, and provide daily and intermittent reports. Manage and supervise nursing staff, direct patient admissions during the perioperative process, and assist with discharge and general patient flow. Ensure proper supervision of surgery center flow in the absence of the DON/administrator, report deviations and parent/guardian grievances to leadership, and assist with ordering necessary supplies and medical gases. Stay up-to-date on clinical staff certifications including PALS, ACLS, and BLS, sign off on competency evaluations, and attend all mandatory in-services and meetings.
