Job Summary
Registered Nurse provides quality nursing services within the patient care team, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for oncology patients in an acute-care setting. Responsibilities include developing and executing care plans, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, documenting changes and outcomes, advocating for patients and families, guiding patient and family education, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and mentoring/leading others while maintaining professional standards and confidentiality. Requires active RN licensure in Georgia (or multi-state compact options), BLS, and continued professional development; role emphasizes collaboration, patient-centered care, safety, and adherence to hospital policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing (RN)
- Nursing license (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- BLS Instructor or BLS certification options allowed (see listing)
- Nursing license options: RN Single State or RN-Compact (multi-state)
