Charge Nurse Acuity Adaptable

RN Charge Nurse provides leadership and clinical expertise on the night shift, coordinating unit resources and staffing based on patient needs. The role functions as a clinical support and role model, directing the interdisciplinary care team to implement individualized plans of care, ensure patient safety, and optimize outcomes. Key duties include assessing patient status, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, delegating and guiding staff, managing resources and overtime for cost-effectiveness, ensuring compliance with licensure and regulatory standards, and promoting nursing professionalism and education. The position requires current RN licensure, a BSN (to be completed within four years if not already held), BLS certification, and unit-specific certifications as needed (e.g., ACLS, PALS). The role emphasizes leadership, mentorship, quality improvement, and collaboration with patients, families, and other disciplines.
