Charge Nurse

Direct care for patients and oversee a unit or work group for a specified shift. Monitor and coordinate daily medical or behavioral health care activities, schedule staff to ensure full coverage, and lead, guide, and train employees. Provide direct nursing evaluation, consultation, and related care as required while communicating therapeutically with patients, visitors, case managers, and coworkers. Oversee quality assurance, compliance to operational standards, and continuous improvement of workplace safety. Complete and maintain required documentation. Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
