Job Summary
Provide safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, incorporating differences into patient care delivery. Integrate knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients, families, and staff throughout the continuum, including education. Utilize standards, guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery and incorporate data to continuously improve practice and enhance outcomes. Administer medications according to standard nursing practice and assume responsibility for self-development to ensure improvements in practice settings. Requires an Alabama Board of Nursing License, BLS within 90 days, and ACLS within 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- Registered Nursing License
- BLS required within 90 days of hire/transfer
- 1 to 2 years of recent med/ surg experience
- Alabama Board of Nursing License
- ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- 4 to 5 years of Med/ Surg experience
- Affilliation with professional organization (American Nurse Association, Alabama Nurse Association, American Nephrology Nurse Association, etc)
