Job Summary
The Chargé(e) de Gestion d'Information at Mercy Corps Mali will support the design and implementation of an information management system within projects, focusing on management of the MEL cycle, programming, and data management with ongoing information sharing. The role encompasses technical support, enhancing data collection tools and capacity building of project teams in mobile technology for data collection. Responsibilities include developing internal information systems, overseeing database management, providing technical assistance in data analysis and visualization using software like Power BI, Tableau, and Excel, and conducting regular field visits for effective data collection. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree, have 2 to 4 years of relevant experience, excellent proficiency in data management tools, and strong communication skills in both French and English.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC +3) in a relevant field such as programming or information technology, computer science, public health, health economics, or epidemiology
- 2 to 4 years of experience in designing and managing information and data systems
- Ability to communicate fluently in French and knowledge of English required for programming language
- Willingness to regularly go to the field to support the team
Desired Qualifications
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint
- Excellent command of data processing and analysis software SPSS, Epi-data, STATA, Tableau/Power BI, MAXQDA, SQL
- Proficiency in mapping software (e.g., QGIS, ARCGIS)
- Experience with mobile database programming software (e.g., iFormBuilder, Formhub, Open Data Kit (ODK), CommCare, SurveyCTO)
