Job Summary
Project engineering leadership for Airbus Canada’s A220 program: implement engineering project management vision, develop detailed engineering project plans for configuration change management, interface with multiple internal/external functions and suppliers to obtain deliverable planning details, identify risks and issues, and prepare recurring project-delivery reporting. The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, leadership of a diverse team, development of standards and best practices, and delivering outcomes within a hybrid work setup in the Montreal/Mirabel area. Strong engineering background, eight years of experience, bilingual English/French, and proven ability to drive continuous improvement and manage change across complex aircraft projects.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience in technical project management
- Knowledge of aircraft program development activities, configuration management, change management, and DAO certification requirements
- Strong project management skills with ability to prioritise and align team members
- Proven leadership of cross-functional teams in changing environments
- Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Excellent oral and written communication in English and French
- Ability to simplify complex issues, summarize risks and actions, and plan next steps
- Experience working with internal and external stakeholders and managing relationships
- Initiative, responsibility, and sound engineering judgment
- Willingness to collaborate within Airbus standards and best practices
- Ability to travel as required by project needs
