Job Summary
Post patient charges to the billing system for assigned site locations using appropriate ICD-10 and CPT codes. Make corrections to billing information, review charges for high-risk coding, and maintain knowledge of carrier-specific requirements. Maintain acceptable performance metrics, attend training on coding revisions, and cross-train staff in charge entry functions. Actively participate in site-level quality improvement activities to evaluate performance and implement improvements. Maintain strict confidentiality and keep the work area orderly. Requires Billing and Coding certification and one year of coding experience in a medical office setting.

- Billing and Coding certification
- AAPC (CPC, CRC)
- AHIMA (CCA, CCS)
- NHA (CBCS)
