Charge Capture Analyst- Full Time

Job Summary
Conduct chart audits to review physician and nursing documentation, validating and extracting proper charges for patients. Record charges, compile reports, and maintain logs while displaying SHINE Behavior Standards and promoting Patient Safety Standards. Read charts to identify missing notations, assist nursing staff in developing proper charting, and collect data for specialized reports requested by the unit Director. Provide brief feedback on charting improvements and participate in departmental and association-wide meetings. Review policies annually and perform duties under moderate supervision with minimal patient contact.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current CPR
- Basic computer skills
- Medical terminology
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
- Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
- Must be able to exert up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Must be able to maintain finger dexterity
- Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, talk, reach, feel, sit, bend, kneel, grasp, listen/hear, handle, and perform repetitive motions of hands, wrists, and feet
- Must be able to work within the office at Director's request if remote work is requested
