Job Summary
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in MRI or CT, serves as a clinical resource and mentor, assists in prioritizing patient care and imaging issues, delegates tasks to ensure proper daily operations, and acts as a clinical liaison between the team and supervisor. Responsibilities include preparing patients/equipment, conducting studies independently (including on-call and portable exams), overseeing shift operations, documenting/escalating IT and equipment tickets, and training students/new employees; supports role in training advanced modalities and providing guidance to adv. mod techs and senior techs.
Required Qualifications
- MRI registry
- CT registry
- Willingness to train in the other modality and obtain certification within designated timeframe
- Education: Associate or Trade School Equivalency
- Experience: 2-5 years
- Licenses & Certifications: RTR, CT, MR, M, BD, CI, VI, RCIS, RCES; IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
