Job Summary
Plan, organize, and deliver pastoral care services to program participants and staff at Haven of Hope, Red Shield Family Residence, and Eliza Shirley House. Lead devotional times during music and arts programs weekly, and facilitate spiritual programming such as Bible study and prayer meetings. Collaborate with program staff to build relationships, engage participants during outreach events, and collect attendance statistics. Work with leadership to assess religious concerns and provide seasonal community assistance. Requires evening and weekend availability, a valid PA driver's license, and child protection clearances. Salary is $20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working in a ministry position (paid or volunteer)
- Valid PA Driver's License
- Qualify for The Salvation Army's insurance
- Proof of having completed training on recognizing and reporting child abuse meeting the training standards of PA Act 153 of 2014
- Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 to include PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record Check
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends
