Job Summary
Provides spiritual care within the healthcare team focusing on spiritual distress, grief support, crisis intervention, and support during life changes. Develops, conducts, and participates in programs of spiritual care to promote healthy communities and sacred environments, collaborating with faith leaders from churches, synagogues, and mosques. Reports to the Manager of Spiritual Care, and may report to a ministry site supervisor. Fully integrated team member delivering compassionate, person-centered care within Trinity Health's mission, with emphasis on inclusion, equity, and spiritual well-being.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Theology, Religion, Spiritual Care or Spirituality
- Board Certified Chaplain (BCC) strongly preferred via APC/CASC/NACC/NAJC
- 4 units (1600 hours) of ACPE accredited Spiritual Care education
- faith-based endorsement
- 1-3 years of Spiritual Care experience, CPE training preferred
