Job Summary
Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and hospital staff during illness, crisis, or transition. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate holistic care and assist with advance care planning conversations. Offer crisis intervention and counseling for trauma, loss, or significant stress while facilitating rituals, prayer, and sacraments as requested. Maintain relationships with local faith communities and document all encounters in the electronic medical record. Support employee well-being through spiritual debriefings and staff rounding. Requires a Master of Divinity, Board Certified Chaplain status, and experience in healthcare or hospice settings.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Divinity or equivalent graduate degree from an accredited theological institution
- 0-1 years of experience providing spiritual care in a healthcare, hospice, or crisis setting
- BCC - Board Certified Chaplain through a recognized chaplaincy organization (e.g., APC, NACC, NAJC)
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of residency
- Completion of at least four (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE)
