Job Summary
Chaplains serve as the frontline staff fulfilling the mission and Christian ministry of MCHAP, utilizing their gifts to support employees and their families. Responsibilities include providing spiritual support through regular visits to worksites, offering confidential discussions on personal issues, assisting in funeral planning, and coordinating specialized assistance. Required skills include effective listening, diplomacy in diverse settings, strong communication abilities, and comfort with technology. The position demands spiritual maturity aligned with Christian values and the ability to handle sensitive situations with care.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary group and in an interfaith setting
- Skills to effectively listen and interact with clients, employees, and their families
- Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to MCHAP's Ministry values
- Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy with diverse groups
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated skill in analyzing information to define and follow up on problems or objectives
- Demonstrated computer proficiency using Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or equivalent software
- Must have active state driver’s license and state minimum auto insurance
