Job Summary
Chaplain for Inpatient Unit to provide spiritual/pastoral assessment and care to patients and families within five days of admission, develop and implement individualized spiritual/pastoral plans, conduct services, discuss beliefs and values, document in the clinical record, collaborate with Interdisciplinary Teams, facilitate connections to community clergy, participate in meetings, and support bereavement and memorial activities. Part-time role with hours 4:00pm–10:00pm, eligible for benefits; requires interfaith sensitivity, ability to work in a team, and dedication to end-of-life wish fulfillment. Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in religious or theological studies
- Minimum of 2 units of Clinical Pastoral Education or equivalent training
- One to three years' experience for Chaplain, three to five years' experience for Senior Chaplain
- Must be comfortable with prayer in an interfaith environment
- Knowledge and experience with grief and end of life issues preferred
- Knowledge of caring for patients and families in the home setting or inpatient facilities preferred
