Job Summary
Minister to patients, families, and staff by recognizing sacramental needs of the Catholic population and providing ritual support for diverse faith groups. Deliver constructive pastoral presence through active listening and calm communication during illness, crisis, loss, and end-of-life situations. Offer basic emotional and spiritual support in a non-proselytizing manner while participating in 24/7 call rotations including holidays and weekends. Complete required Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) within the first year of employment. Serve as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team at St. Anne Hospital, modeling core values of compassion, integrity, and stewardship to enhance the health and well-being of the community.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Commitment to complete one (1) of CPE within first year of employment
- Completion of lay ministry or in the ordination process
- Documentation of faith community endorsement by official representative(s) reflecting good standing in accordance with the requirements of his/her own faith/spiritual tradition
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field
- Experience as a Chaplain in a healthcare setting
- One (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed
