Job Summary
Provide spiritual support to patients and families through prayer, life review, and resource connection. Develop relationships with community clergy and assist with funeral planning, memorial services, and life resolution. Assess patients' spiritual worldviews to identify distress and utilize existing resources for renewed meaning during illness and loss. Work within an interdisciplinary team to honor individual goals during transitional times. Requires on-call, weekend, and after-hours availability.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- adequate automobile insurance
- unlimited access to reliable transportation
- One year of related chaplain/pastoral experience
- Currently have, or complete within 3 years of their date of hire 2 units of CPE training
- Able to participate in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours programs
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to set priorities and follow through
- Communicates effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with a variety of people and personalities
Desired Qualifications
- Able to work in a variety of environments
- Adequate computer skills preferably with Microsoft office products
- Premium pay for Masters Degree in Divinity or Religious Studies and bilingual fluency
