Job Summary
Assess patient and family spiritual needs and facilitate support from community religious leaders, including sacraments and ethical guidance. Develop care plans that provide presence, prayer, and sacred text reading while advising the manager on clinical issues. Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, promote collaboration between pastoral care and medical staff, and lead worship opportunities such as interfaith memorial services. Mentor CPE students and volunteers, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and document all activities per department protocols. Respond to codes and traumas when designated as on-call chaplain.
Required Qualifications
- Master of Divinity degree
- Master of Arts in Religion
- Master of Pastoral Counseling
- Ordination
- Successful completion of at least 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education
- 1-2 Years Clergy or chaplain experience
