Job Summary
Provide spiritual support to patients and families through prayer, life review, and resolution while connecting them to community resources. Assess spiritual worldviews to help individuals recognize resources for renewed meaning during illness and loss. Develop relationships with community clergy and assist with funeral planning, conducting services, and memorial events. Work within an interdisciplinary care team to honor patient goals during transitional times. Requires on-call availability for weekends, holidays, and after-hours programs.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Colorado driver's license
- adequate automobile insurance
- unlimited access to reliable transportation
- One year of related chaplain/pastoral experience
- Currently have, or complete within 3 years of their date of hire 2 units of CPE training
- Able to participate in the on-call, holiday, weekend, and after-hours programs
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with a variety of people and personalities
Desired Qualifications
- Able to work in a variety of environments
- Communicates effectively, both written and verbal
- Adequate computer skills preferably with Microsoft office products
- Ability to set priorities and follow through
- Premium pay for Masters Degree in Divinity or Religious Studies and bilingual fluency
