Job Summary
Hospice Chaplain role focused on spiritual assessment and care planning for patients and families; responsibilities include direct spiritual care, developing and contributing to the individualized care plan, liaison with community chaplains and spiritual counselors, documenting services, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing education and support to the team, recruiting community chaplains/volunteers, and conducting funeral or memorial services as requested. Requires seminary-level theological education (BD/M.Div. or equivalent), experience with death and dying, hospice familiarity preferred, proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/EMR, and willingness to travel; offers tuition reimbursement, PTO/holidays, comprehensive benefits, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for advanced training.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited seminary or school of theology, BD, M.Div. or equivalent theological degree preferred
- Must have experience working with death and dying, individuals/family/caregiver
- Hospice experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and EMR systems.
- Must be willing to travel to hospice locations as assigned and be flexible with working hours
