Job Summary
Provide religious and spiritual care and counsel to patients, families, and associates while performing sacraments, rituals, and liturgies for the local ministry. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver holistic patient care and build relationships through regular visitations. Mentor Clinical Pastoral Education students and fellows. This PRN rotating role at Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast in Destin, FL, supports diverse spiritual orientations within a nonprofit Catholic health system.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or NAJC (or certification obtained within 2 years of hire, risking termination if not obtained within timeframe)
- Master s Degree in Divinity, Theology, or a related field from an accredited school
- 3 units of CPE accredited by the ACPE
Desired Qualifications
- 4 units of accredited CPE
- 3-5 years of healthcare experience as a chaplain
