Job Summary
Conduct event changeovers at the Clovis Civic Center by setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, and furnishings. Manage physical setup for banquets, conferences, and meetings while assisting with pre/post event cleaning, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and carpet care. Maintain outside grounds, parking areas, and the event plaza, performing repairs like painting and patching as needed. Respond promptly to promoters' and clients' needs under pressure, working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Handle heavy lifting, climbing, and moderate to loud noises while maintaining a positive attitude and appearance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekdays, weekends, nights, and holidays required
- Must be able to get in and around the facility, bending, lifting, carrying, moving, climbing, working from various heights, and dealing with moderate to loud noises
- Must be able to work in a manner that is safe and effective
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects unaided
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with event changeovers is preferred but not required
- Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables
- Ability to work independently and as a team
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively with others
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time and meet deadlines
