Job Summary
Conduct event changeovers by setting up and tearing down flooring, chairs, barricades, staging, and other furnishings. Load and unload delivery trucks, transport trash to disposal areas, and replenish supplies while performing pre/post event cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, and carpet cleaning. Maintain outside grounds including parking areas and the event plaza, executing snow removal during winter months. Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and scissor lifts with required training and certification. Perform repairs, painting, and patching as needed to ensure facility operations meet daily demands. Work flexible schedules including weekends, nights, and holidays under pressure to meet event deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Must be adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
- Able to work extensive time in areas with moderate to loud noises.
- Frequent bending, lifting heavy objects, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, standing for long periods of time, and extensive walking through the building.
- Work boots are required and provided by the employee for all shifts.
- The arena will supply hard hats that are required at designated times on an event day.
- Training and certification required for operating equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with event changeovers is a plus.
- Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, scissor lifts, or other light power equipment desired.
- Ability to work under deadlines dictated by event schedules and project timetables.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
