Job Summary
Set up and remove stage, risers, seating, tables, flooring, and other equipment for hockey games, family shows, and concerts. Repairs and maintains retractable and permanent seats while operating light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, and scrubbing machines. Lead lockout/tagout procedures and enforce safety mandates to ensure a secure environment for employees, teams, and guests. Work extended and irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, performing strenuous physical duties such as lifting, carrying, and working from heights. Maintain effective relationships with clients, exhibitors, and patrons while adjusting to changing situations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and communicate effectively
- Complete knowledge of operations procedures to facilitate changeovers
- Ability to work long hours and varied schedules (majority overnight conversions)
- Must be self-motivated and work under little supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks in the most productive and/or appropriate manner
- Excellent safety record and work ethic
- Possess any licenses, certificates, or training required by local, state, or national authorities for the operation of the equipment found in the facility
- Experience operating equipment such as light trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, boom lifts, scrubbing machines, or other light power-driven equipment
- Organized and able to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and/or a stringent schedule and produce accurate results
- Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed
- Perform strenuous physical duties at times, including lifting, carrying, moving, walking extensively throughout the building, working from various heights, and working around moderate to loud noises
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of conversion experience is preferred
- Certified forklift operator is preferred
- Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical riser system repair, preferred
