Job Summary
Sit chairside to relax patients and hand dentists proper equipment during appointments while sterilizing instruments and preparing materials. Take and develop dental radiographs, create lab cases, and maintain equipment. Prevent infection by keeping a surgically clean environment and monitor patient medical history, blood pressure, and pulse. Provide oral hygiene instructions and support staff as needed. Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance and manage the dental supply budget. This role requires a current dental assistant license, CPR certification, and radiography certification.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current dental assistant license, registration, or permit as required by applicable state regulations
- Current CPR certification
- Radiography/X-ray certification if applicable to job duties and state regulations
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant
